Virat Kohli had been the centre of attraction the Indian national cricket team frequently for his success at a young age and rising endorsements earnings. On November 16, 2014 Kohli was named second in the new list of the rankings of batsman in the One Day International (ODI) rankings released by the International Cricket Council. From leading the Under-19 cricket team to winning the World Cup, Kohli gained himself a seat in the national cricket team. His success in the International cricket has been lauded by senior and retired players and many saw him as the next superstar in the world of cricket. However his aggression on field drew unwanted attention to which Kohli admitted and showed gestures of improvement with time. |

On November 16, 2014, the International Cricket Council (ICC) released the One Day International (ODI) rankings for batsmen following India’s one-day series win over Sri Lanka. The new list saw Virat Kohli (Kohli) in second position with 862 points, only behind AB de Villiers of South Africa. Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team, led the team to a resounding 5-0 win under circumstances in which the majority of players lacked the experience of playing on an international platform.. |
